Saturday, April 29 – The mission with Father Damien FAHRNER (priest MEP)
The theme of this “Mother House” day was mission.
After a round-table meeting, Father Damien recalled at first that the mission has been part of the Church since the beginning. Every Christian is sent, he is a missionary!” the Father repeated.
Then, taking the example of little Thérèse of Lisieux:
“
“My mission is to love Jesus
and make him love as I love him”
The mission is therefore not primarily a place or a work, but rather “to blossom where we are sown” (as Saint Francis de Sales said).
The afternoon was devoted to the testimony of Father Damien who until July 2022 was in Cambodia, before being called for a new mission in Paris. He is now a member of the General Council of MEP (Missions Etrangères de Paris) and responsible for Volunteering.
The Father proposed two videos that evoke both volunteering and his own mission in Cambodia.
feast of our Mother
On Thursday, May 18, Ascension Day, we gathered at the Mother House to celebrate our Mother. Every year it is an opportunity for us to thank her for all that she is and does for the Congregation. We spend this day in recess during which we enjoy being together to pray, share a festive meal, give us news…
This year, the Superiors of the Western Europe region were present. For them this Thursday, were also departure day for La Pierre qui Vire to live a time of formation. They stayed there from Thursday evening to Sunday morning.
