A beautiful ceremony
On Saturday, April 27, 2024, the chapel of the Motherhouse was full for the celebration of the jubilees. 7 Jubilee Sisters were present. A retreat preached by Father Gilles Morin (Religious of Saint Vincent de Paul) had prepared them for this. The ceremony was presided by Bishop Alexandre Joly, Bishop of Troyes, surrounded by many priests and three deacons. Father Blanc, Oblate of St. Francis de Sales and chaplain of the Mother House, was associated with the celebration for his 70th anniversary of religious profession.

In his homily, the bishop addressed the jubilarians, saying that their fidelity is a gift to the whole Church. By insisting on “the challenge of giving oneself: the challenge of the whole of existence”, in a life that is “according to the path of obedience, of self-dispossession” and that “becomes more beautiful with the years”. He explained how faithfulness in responding to the call received speaks of faithfulness of God himself.
He also stressed the “prophetic power of the consecrated life, formidable for today’s world”, to say “God’s plan for humanity today”.
He stressed that “the key to religious life is to receive but also to enter into the path of total self-giving.” “The choice of the consecrated life is neither old fashioned nor limited, it is prophetic and luminous.”
He urged all the faithful present to “choose the total gift in (their) vocation and commitment”, adding: “Let us reveal God to the world by allowing ourselves to be called! “.

After the celebration, the joy of thanksgiving was shared over a drink of friendship. The day of celebration continued with a fraternal meal where family and friends were able to encounter the Sisters present.
