After two years of Novitiate formation, Sister Thérèse-Léonie Lefer formally entered the Congregation through the Profession of Vows. On Saturday March 4, 2023, her family and friends gathered in the Chapel of Our Lady of Light in Troyes to support our novice and to celebrate with her.
After the Gospel, Father Icard, who presided over the ceremony, called Sister Thérèse-Léonie to publicly express her desire to consecrate herself to God through Religious Profession. Then, following the homily, Sister made her commitment to living in holy poverty, chastity, and obedience, according to the Constitutions of the Oblate Sisters of Saint Francis de Sales.
Finally, Sister received the black veil and the cross, symbols of her consecration, as well as the lit candle that recalls her Baptism.
The Presentation of the Gifts brought together Sr. Thérèse-Léonie’s family and her Mistress of Novices together with our young Sister. It was a powerful moment for all.
